Big day

Hello again....

So on Jan. 6 2013 we began attending Calvary Baptist Church here by our house. Soon we began finding ourselves sitting in the sunday morning church service, every sunday. After prayers and discussion amongst our family we decided that we had found our church. I had been thinking about going to the pastor and asking if they would be willing to help us raise the funds needed for Jayce's dog. I decided I would. So after service one day I briefly brought it to his attention and told him that I would email him with all of the information. So I did. Much to our surprise they were VERY willing to help us! WHEW!! That was such a relief. So lets fast forward to today....

Today we will be sharing our story with the congregation this evening. We have already had a few random people give us donations. But I am very nervous about tonight. As many of you know I personally am NOT a public speaker. I have done it but it is not my forte.(To be honest, it isn't my husbands either) So I have been praying and we have been discussing briefly the different things we want to touch on. It will be fine, I know. And I keep reminding myself that I AM doing it for my son. He is relying on me and I WILL do it.

So say a prayer for us! Hope it goes well.

A couple of weeks ago I received a text from a parent of a friend of Jayce (and friend of mine) stating that Aidan (Jayce's friend) had decided that he wanted to help Jayce raise money for his dog. He had made the decision to have a lemonade stand (in 30 degree weather) that afternoon. I said that was awesome and we were totally cool with that. Having no idea what was to come.  We were walking to Aidan's house for the lemonade stand after getting notified that one of the local news channels were there. We turn the corner and there are a lot of people. I personally had a calm and reassuring feeling come over me. All of those people were there to help support us. They were there because a brave and big hearted 5 year old wanted to help US. He took the time out of his day to give to someone else. Amazing isn't it? We have had an outpour of support since then.

Aidan raised an incredible between in person purchases as well as online donations given because of his efforts!!!

Thank you to everyone who have been following us along our journey and to those who have helped support our cause one way or another.

A special thanks to a very giving little boy, Aidan, good things will come to you sweetie. God will bless you in more ways than anyone can imagine.

Apologies

I have attempted to post updates on here a few times and I'm not sure whether it is my computer or the website but nothing has posted. So I want to apologize to everyone for the delay in updates! Let's see if this works this time! :)

Thanks for your patience!

Love the support

Hi all! So we have been fairly busy this past month trying to figure out what fundraisers to get going and how to do so. We have been going to a church called Calvary Baptist Church here in Leavenworth, we started the first sunday of this year. After Zeb and I discussing it we decided to bring our situation to the church and see if they would be willing to help us raise this money since it is such an important cause.

We had our meeting with the church last night and the news is::::THEY ARE WILLING TO HELP US 100%!! They have a billion ideas floating around about what to start now and what to start planning. Looks like we will be having a carnival in September and all proceeds will go directly towards Jayce's dog!! Thank you Lord! We are so very excited to have such important people/organization backing us completely.

Zeb and I sort of felt lost and overwhelmed knowing that we had so much money to raise and just to the two of us to do it. We didn't really know where to start. I am proud to say that we now have a TEAM to help us along the way.

I also would like to thank everyone who has donated to our cause. It is so greatly appreciated and every cent helps us reach our goal!

God bless!
